Gloss Enhancer GLOSS and RLS-GD
The polishers work continuously and touchlessly either as an in-line option or as a handheld device.
The new GLOSS series focuses on a smaller detection area with very fast measurement and high sensitivity to small gloss differences. In addition, an even more compact housing is achieved.
GLOSS is available with five different standard angles of 20°, 60°, and 85°, as well as 45° and 75°, which are predominantly used in the paper industry. In addition to the analog outputs, GLOSS sensors also have digital outputs where 7 different gloss values can be stored in the sensor.
The RLS-GD series is characterized by an extremely high insensitivity to ambient light and has a large detection range. Five digital outputs indicate binary the 31 gloss values that can be stored in the sensor.
Measuring angles, GLOSS series:
20 degrees for high gloss surfaces (gloss level >70 GU)
45 degrees TAPPI standard (paper industry) for glossy surfaces
60 degrees for moderately glossy surfaces (gloss level >10 GU and <70 GU)
75 degrees TAPPI standard (paper industry) for matte surfaces
85 degrees for matte surfaces (gloss level <10 GU)
