NIVAKT

NIVAKT is a registered trademark that has long been taken over by HEMOMATIK. Originally, in the early 1970s, the engineering company Hellsten produced several hundred thousand overflow protections for house tanks under the brand NIVAKT.

1973 HEMOMATIK was founded by Göran Hellsten and Erik Moebius. HE MO MATIK comes from Hellsten Moebius Machine Automation. We ended up focusing on sensors and combining in-house production with collaboration with specialist firms in this field.

1974 Under the brand NIVAKT, we manufactured the first combined level and temperature monitor, and today we are the largest manufacturer in Scandinavia with exports mainly to countries around the Baltic Sea and Norway, but also globally. Production takes place in our own factory in Östhammar. By listening to our customers, more than 50% of our production is customer-specific, in series ranging from 10 to 50,000 units.

1974 We started a collaboration with RECHNER, which has now grown to become a world leader in capacitive sensors.

1976 Our collaboration with Contrinex started when they only had 6 employees, yet they were the first to manufacture inductive sensors from 3, 4mm, and M5, setting a world standard. Contrinex now has 400 employees and is still a leader in long-distance, steel sensors without reduction factor.

1976 also started the collaboration with DIELL now M.D Micro Detector who created the world standard of optical M18 sensors.

Microsonic with ultrasonic sensors is another example of specialization within sensors. In 2013, Hemomatik Oy and Hemomatik AB won an award as the best agent for Microsonic.
