Eddylab GmbH

Develops and manufactures high-performance sensors for measuring position and distance. Eddylab became its own company in 2014, but was previously part of WayCon, which was founded in 1999.

LVDT position sensors from Eddylab are based on inductive non-contact sensing and are therefore essentially free from wear. They are exceptionally robust despite the high resolution and repeatability. It is possible to use the sensors in demanding environments such as temperatures up to 200°C or high pressures up to 400 bar.

Eddy current sensors detect metal objects contactlessly, dynamically, and extremely accurately. The electronics calculate the distance and provide a proportional analog signal (0...10 V, 0...5 V, ±5 V, 0...20 mA, 4...20 mA). Alternatively, USB and CAN interfaces can be used. The software eddylab for the sensor series TX can be used to access oscilloscope, FFT analysis, and data logger.

Eddy current sensors belong to the category of non-contact distance sensors. The principle allows distance measurement towards electrically conductive objects. They are perfectly suited for observing dynamic events >100 kSa/s and provide resolution in micrometer parts. For example, the sensors are suitable for analyzing movements within the automotive industry.

In addition to robustness, high dynamics, and high resolution, the TX series also handles a wide temperature range. With a temperature range from -60°C to 180°C, eddy current sensors are the ideal choice for applications in combustion engines.
